1.In 1985 Sifa hospital as an obstetrics & Gynac hospital. Now we are a multi specialty center with modern Infertility treatment facilities.
Shifa Hospital and fertility Research center caters infertility treatment for sub fertile patients for the past 30 years and IVF(Test tube baby) treatment for the past 12 years. Our first successful patient was a 45 years old female with multiple fibroids.
Our 1st IVF baby was born in 2006 and ICSI in 2007. Laparo hysteroscopy was started in the same year. Cryopreservation of gametes and embryos are done by our best hands.
We provide high risk pregnancy management and intensive new born care.
Nowadays IVF is a daycare procedure. Patient need not stay for month or years in hospital .Injection can be taken at their places with nurse or husband. Patients can be taught about injection techniques.Therefore patients can leave in a couple of days after IVF or any other procedures.

Surgical Oncology

(iii) ADVANTAGES:

Dindigul in surrounded by hills which is conducive for embryo culture.In hot season also atmospheric temperature is less, compared to other places.We have more number of inhouse embryologists ,so extensively blastocyst culture and embryo transfer is done according to the quality of the embryo and endometrium on days 4, 5,6 or 7.

(iv) Blasto cyst culture:

In natural pregnancy embryo gets attached to the uterus during the Blasto cyst stage after hatching Embryo cannot attach to the uterine wall, with its outer shell (Ie without hatching). It will take atleast 5-7 days to hatch. We do mostly blasto cyst culture to increase the success rate. For this reason, we have residential embryologists who do the dedicated job.
